As the police close in, the end-game unfolds, culminating in an unexpected reunion, two fateful betrayals, a dramatic demise - and a gang member cast adrift...

It's a close shave when PC Duff and PC Blathers search the lair, so the gang escapes to the docks. Whilst crabbing, Dodger watches the ships as they arrive to unload their precious cargos. An idea sparks: if the sailors can be distracted for long enough away from their vessels then there's booty to nick - sugar if they are lucky. Dodger lays out his plan to the gang. It's risky, but they come up with an ingenious scheme.

Mr. and Mrs Grundles suddenly appear from a side street and grab Charley - but what do they have in store for her? Why has she been taken?

At the police station, the ever frustrated police chief Sir Charles Rowan is being driven to distraction by his pursuit of Dodger. A hero of The Battle of Waterloo, he dresses up in his old red uniform - complete with sword - takes a deep breath and goes to meet his foes above the pub.
