Sigourney Weaver spotted on the set of Doc Martin
It looks like Sigourney Weaver is going to guest star in the new seventh series of Doc Martin. She was spotted on the set of the hit comedy drama filming scenes with Martin Clunes.
Featuring: Martin Clunes (Dr Martin Ellingham) & Sigourney Weaver (Beth Traywick).
As is always the case when Doc Martin is filming, the village of Port Isaac (which doubles as Portwenn in the show) was packed with tourists looking to get a glimpse at the show.
Writing on his blog, fan Chris Haig said: "Standing close to where Doc Martin was taking his start and end point from allowed me to get some close up video, and Martin Clunes took a shine to my little Welsh Springer Spaniel, and every so often as the scene would end he would bend down and say hello, and at the end of one scene we even managed photo with the man himself. A great day indeed!"
It is not clear what role Sigourney Weaver will play in the new series, which is due on air later this year. ITV is expected to confirm details nearer the time of broadcast.
