The first contestants are ready to take on the greatest quiz show of all time! This week's premiere episode sees best friends Eddy and Alex take on Emma for a chance at winning a trip to sunny Barcelona if they can beat the infamous Gold run. With interesting spot prizes to be won, along with heaps of cash, who will be the first winner of the new series?

As you might expect, the humour has been cranked up - fuzzy mascots get an intro alongside their matriculated owners - but otherwise it's still the same snappy battle of buzzers and wits.

Given that the channel are certainly putting considerable effort into the show, I can see it certainly being more successful than its past revivals, although deep down it will be hard to match Holness's original.
