  • A third collection of Carry On films is being released on Blu-ray
  • Four more titles will be issued in November in Carry On Collection 3
  • The first thousand copies will also include a limited edition booklet

Four more classic Carry On comedies are to be released in a Blu-ray box set.

Containing the ninth to twelfth editions in the long-running series, Carry On Collection 3 will be issued by Australian distributor Via Vision on 8th November.

Pre-orders are now open through the company's website, and the set is fully UK-compatible.

Each of the four films - Carry On Spying (1964), Carry On Cleo (1964), Carry On Cowboy (1965) and Carry On Screaming! (1966) - has been completely restored in high definition, and comes with an original commentary from stars including Bernard Cribbins, Angela Douglas and Fenella Fielding.

The films are spoofs of James Bond, Hollywood epic Cleopatra, American Westerns, and Hammer horror films, respectively.

Seeing the worldwide premiere release on Blu-ray for Carry On Spying, which was Barbara Windsor's debut in the film series, the first 1,000 copies ordered will also come with a limited edition 112-page booklet recreating the original promotional press materials issued for all of the first twelve Carry On films.

The previous eight - Carry On Sergeant, Nurse, Teacher, Constable, Regardless, Cruising, Cabby and Jack - are already available in the previous Collection 1 and Collection 2 sets.

The four films in Collection 3 also come with their original theatrical trailer and a photo gallery each.

Carry On - Collection 3

A fully restored box set containing the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth Carry On films, fully remastered and restored in high definition.

Carry On Spying (1964)
Worldwide first on Blu-ray! Carry On favourite Barbara Windsor makes her debut in this outrageous send-up of the James Bond movies. Fearless agent Desmond Simpkins and Charlie Bind, aided and abetted by the comely Agent Honeybutt and Agent Crump, battle against the evil powers of international bad guys STENCH and their three cronies.

Carry On Cleo (1964)
Two Brits - inventor Hengist Pod, and Horse, a brave and cunning fighter - are captured and enslaved by invading Romans and taken to Rome. One of their first encounters in Rome leaves Hengist being mistaken for a fighter, and gets drafted into the Royal Guard to protect Cleopatra.

Carry On Cowboy (1965)
Stodge City is in the grip of the Rumpo Kid and his gang. Mistaken identity again takes a hand as a 'sanitary engineer' named Marshal P. Knutt is mistaken for a law marshal. Being the conscientious sort, Marshal tries to help the town get rid of Rumpo, and a showdown is inevitable. Marshal has two aids - revenge-seeking Annie Oakley and his sanitary expertise.

Carry On Screaming! (1966)
The sinister Dr Watt has an evil scheme going. He's kidnapping beautiful young women and turning them into mannequins to sell to local stores. Fortunately for Dr Watt, Detective-Sergeant Bung is on the case, and he doesn't have a clue! In this send up of the Hammer Horror movies, there are pastiches of all the horror greats from Frankenstein to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

An initial limited edition of just 1,000 copies will also include a 112-page booklet, reproducing the original promotional press materials for all twelve Carry On films released by Via Vision to date.
