Anna Thomas has landed her debut radio sitcom, with the winner of the 2021 BBC New Comedy Award writing and starring in Gulls, a 30-minute talent taster for BBC Radio Wales, about best friends Bonnie and Llinos who have been each other's corner of sanity while growing up in the small seaside town of Burry Port.
Geoff Norcott has joined Times Radio, presenting a show on Friday nights. The comic has previously guest hosted on the channel and is taking over the 7pm-10pm slot that evening, joking on social media that "every station needs diversity and I'm representing 'blokes who look and sound like plumbers'".
