Vicky Richards is a London-based writer and editor originally from Shropshire. She has tried her hand at most forms of comedy - writing novels and sitcoms as well as sketches and oneliners.
Her radio work includes credits across a variety of BBC shows including Dead Ringers, The Now Show, The News Quiz, DMs are Open, and Breaking the News. She is a regular contributor to satire publications Reductress and The Daily Mash, with work also featured on TV show Late Night Mash, and last year was a runner up in the British Comedy Guide writing competition.
She has had longer works longlisted for BBC Writersroom, the ShortCom comedy writing competition, and the Writers of the Future competition. Although a relative newcomer to stand up, she was named West End New Act of the Year: One to Watch and has gigged at nights run by Angel Comedy and Funny Women. In addition, her first novel for children was longlisted for the Mslexia Children's and YA Novel Prize and the Guppy Books open submission.
