Suzy Eddie Izzard has landed her first acting role since revealing she's changing her name, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.

The comic, who disclosed the change on Matt Forde's Political Party podcast yesterday, will guest star in Kaos, Netflix's upcoming fantasy drama about gender politics and power, based on Greek and Roman mythology, from The End Of The F***ing World writer Charlie Covell.

The series revolves around six people discovering their connection to each other and the corrupt and arrogant gods of classicism. Izzard's character Lachy is believed to be based upon Lachesis, second of the Three Fates in Greek mythology, who measured a person's life span and assigned them their destiny on a thread spun by her sister, Clotho.

The series also features Daniel Lawrence Taylor as Theseus, David Thewlis as Hades, Debi Mazar (The Pentaverate) as Medusa and Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, with the American actor having replaced Hugh Grant in the role.

Izzard is also shortly to star in Disney+'s upcoming darkly comic heist thriller Culprits, alongside Gemma Arterton and Misfits' Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.
