Seann Walsh is recording his Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated show and releasing it for free on YouTube, as he reportedly prepares to join I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The comic is filming two performances of Seann Walsh Is Dead. Happy Now? at the Angel Comedy Club in London this Sunday.

Explaining his decision to give away the critically acclaimed show for free, after uploading his previous special, Kiss, to YouTube in March, Walsh wrote on Twitter:

"I'm funding this all myself so appreciate the support from all that have come to see me over the last few years and continue to watch my stuff. It means a lot. One day, some fucker will pay me for this again."

Kiss and Seann Walsh Is Dead. Happy Now? both reflect on the fallout from his ill-fated appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, when the comic was photographed kissing his professional dance partner, Katya Jones. His then girlfriend, actor Rebecca Humphries, subsequently accused him of gaslighting her.

In Kiss, Walsh recalled how he spent twelve consecutive days on the front page of The Sun at the time of the scandal and the impact it had on his mental health.

The paper splashed with him on the front page again today with the headline "I'm A Celebratty", reporting that the 33-year-old is set to fly out to the Australian jungle later this autumn, presumably in a bid to rehabilitate his reputation and boost his profile.

Yesterday it was reported that fellow comic Babatunde Aléshé would also be appearing in the forthcoming series of the primetime ITV reality contest, alongside Boy George and Love Island's Olivia Attwood.

However, ITV have not officially released any participants' names yet, stating: "We'll announce our line-up nearer transmission."
