Comedy Bitch ventured to last year's Edinburgh Fringe as a virgin. They came out a highly sexed beast. This distinctly diverse group of young actors took last year's festival by storm and are back this year with more outrageously observational humour, delving deeper into the comedy darkness, and bringing you more manic merriment than a team of hungry hippos.

Jonathan Broke, Sophie Wright, Louise Howells, Hannah Gittos, Tom Lyall-Cottle and Ben Kewin were one of 2009's sure fire hits and practically sold out their run at the 125 capacity Underbelly's Belly Laughs venue - not bad for a brand new, virtually unheard of group of funny people. The raving reviews came in thick and fast and on several occasions a glimpse into the future of television was suggested. Who knows where this year's second helping of hilarity will take them...

Sophie Wright: Theatre credits includes Schweyk in the Second World War at the Library Theatre, Skittish, a romantic comedy at the Royal Court, Psychos at the Eastern Angles Theatre in Ipswich (she obviously played the Psycho) and Booze Cruise 2 for Granada TV. Sophie is the musical member of Comedy Bitch - she has a fabulous pair of lungs.

Louise Howells: Theatre Credits include: Cyn in The Wills Girls (Tobacco Factory), Lottie in Foxes (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Celia in Shooting Shakespeare (Bath Theatre Royal), Abigail in Quids and Dimps (The Royal Exchange). Television Credits include: Law and Order, Waking the Dead, The Bill, Doctors, The Royal, Holby City and Let Loose. Radio Credits include: The Wills's Girls and The Boy Fathers for BBC Radio 4. After years of being fairly successful, Louise decided that insecurity and poverty were missing from her life and took her first steps towards the Comedy Circuit, joining Comedy Bitch in 2008.

Tom Lyall-Cottle: LTom has been in sketch comedy for 2 years now. He is the excitable and lovable member of Comedy Bitch. Every group needs one of these characters to make the audience like them. That's Tom's job. Tom, a bloody good writer and a ruddy good actor, has several TV and film credits to his name.

Hannah Gittos: Hannah has appeared in numerous theatre productions across London at The Young Vic, Theatre 503, The Hen and Chickens and the Tristan Bates Theatre. After being advised she had a 'thing' for comedy, she dabbled in some character stand-up involving an orgasm and a teapot. Now Hannah is proudly pleased to be part of Comedy Bitch.

Jonathan Broke: Jonathan is very tall. He wants to follow in John Cleese's footsteps, as he too is very tall. To achieve this Jonathan trained as an Actor at The American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University, worked in numerous plays and on a couple of feature films and has just started recording his voice as a story-teller. He has worked with comedy greats Stephen Fry, Mel Smith, Matthew Kelly and Derek Griffiths and is somehow still crap.

Ben Kewin: Very clever and very strong. When he runs he is fast. Everyone likes him. He does stand up and Comedy Bitch. Ben has spent a lot of time being very silly, writing and performing one man comedy-shows for the theatre whilst delivering the goods as a stand up comic on and around the Manchester scene.
