I have found Myspace and Facebook a great way to network. I have made useful contacts in the music industry and have met up with writers and artistes in person. There are other ways to do it, but I find this very convenient.
I guess it depends what you do with it and what you want from it.
It is also useful for keeping an eye on my son and his Uni pals, though I'm not sure he meant me to see the photo of him in bra and pants!
