Steady Dabutt, you'll have the 'I care for my fellow man' brigade on you.

...Not to mention the adverse effect on education for many years to come.

Exactly.
More of an option than a theory.
Some dope on Twitter saying trump "was right all along"

About what? Removing the virus from your body by injecting yourself with bleach?

I swear I haven't felt well since my booster jab, which has never affected me before. 😞

Yeah.
F**k them.

Same here. I feel left out.

UPDATE: I've had Covid at least twice (6/22, 10/22) since I posted that. I felt far sicker after my last two vaccinations than with "real" Covid, so I'm done with them.

No. I watched it happen on Survivors.

I swear I haven't felt well since my booster jab, which has never affected me before. 😞

My son had it again a couple of weeks ago and he said it really knocked him back this time.

My lad - 34 and as strong as an ox - was crook a few weeks ago and did a self swab test that showed positive. He said it was like man-flu squared for two days then he was back on his feet.

We shared a car for an hour the day before he went down with it. No effect on me, 70 and fully vax'd. I've not even had my usual winter cold for a couple of years.

According to the Grauniad today:

Christina Pagel, a professor of operational research at University College London, said a new wave of Covid appeared to be under way - possibly driven by waning immunity, new variants of Omicron, and factors including poor weather keeping people inside.

I thought keeping people inside was supposed to have been the way to stop transmission. They called it "lockdown".

Don't be silly, Billy.

Don't be silly, Billy.

I wasn't aware that I was but thank you for enlightening me.

If there is another pandemic, is it too much to ask that this time the people in charge of the country stick to the rules ?

I.e don't ignore all the guidelines and throw parties and get shit faced and puke every where and snog your secretaries and dance around like it's all just a big f**king joke?

While the rest of us mugs do what the law actually says?

Hopefully we may have some grown ups in number 10 by the next time it happens...

Sorry, I thought you were joking.
Needless to say, being indoors with others is worse for spreading (amongst those your inside with) than being in the fresh air.
It's one of the reasons colds etc spread more in the winter.
Lockdown wasn't about being indoors, it was about isolating the disease.
I think the point is they wouldn't normally expect a new wave of Covid to build up a head of steam until. the winter.
Our increased indoor-ness, due to the shitty weather, may have brought that forward.
