Damn I missed this. This must have been what life was like before the iPlayer (I can't remember that far back!)

I hope some enterprising person uploads it to the web somewhere so I can have a listen, as I'd really like to hear what he had to say.

No. He was refused 'live' television and then asked for as many sitcom DVDs as were allowed.

I do know that Mitchell is a fan of Terry and June, so that would be one he would hope to get.

It was also on LW an hour before the original broadcast. I don't know if it's repeated on LW though.
