OK then...

Let me in on a Britcom must see. My Benny Hill VHS has run its course. :P

What have you seen already? What have you enjoyed? What types of comedy do you normally like, and indeed not like?

Really? Nothing? Geez one mention of Benny Hill and you drop the yank off the map?

Peep Show - funny
The Mighty Boosh - hit or miss
Anything Eddie Izzardish
Look Around You - perfectly dry
Going back...
The Young Ones
All things Terry Gilliam
Monty Python

Thanks

I'd recommend Peep Show, I'm Alan Partridge, The Office.
Depends on what your tastes are.

Well, given those choices I wouldn't have thought you'd have liked Benny Hill! But let's see...

You'd probably enjoy Ideal. Maybe Benidorm and Pulling. The Office quite likely, as has been said... *ponders*

I DLed Alan Partridge. I actually shed tears laffing so hard.

Laughing out loud

Sure you've not got the wrong thread here Griff...?

Benny Hill was jack-fodder for pre pubers. Just trying to be funny sorry. I'll leave it to the professionals

You may want to amend the anything after you've watched his pilot sitcom Cows:

I remember being really excited at the thought of an EI sitcom and then...

:S

If you enjoy naturalistic comedy as well watch Gavin and Stacey and Extras.

Jx

You all are a great help. American TV kinda sux.

:O

If it's an essential British sitcom that everyone must see at least once in their lifetime that you are looking for then Fawlty Towers is it. Other good, more recent, choices are Father Ted, The IT Crowd, Coupling and Not Going Out. If this is not the information you were after, then excuse me.

I'll skip the bovine comedy thanks.

I cannot believe anyone ever thought it would be a good idea. Anyone who managed to watch the whole thing should receive a Knighthood.
