Did you meet Mr Babbage?

No, he was a wooden board which they changed manually, and just said 'wrong' or 'right. Rather ruined the magic for me. Still, at least I didn't get to meet Les Dennis.

Poor old John Lucas. You're obssessed with the man and his crippled emotional capacity. And Les is ok, I suppose. If only the man could develop an impersonation of Mavis from Coronation Street, he's be one helluva comedian.

Depends on the refresh rate of the computer monitor, and of the camera used for filming.
