I only hope they can keep up the quality, but as Gatiss is a genius chances are good

I so wish they were making more than 3 episodes.
But I am still happy we're at least getting them!

Three hours of quality is better than six hours of mediocrity, as in Downton Abbey or Call the Midriff

They're 90 minute eps, so 4 and a half hours of quality. :) Has anyone else seen the 60 minute unaired pilot? It's amazing how essential that extra 30 minutes is - it gives the thing space to breathe.

Anyone who has seen or listened to What the Papers Say sometime in the past 50 years will know they do comedy voices when reading journalist articles-

But for stern moralist Peter Hitchens his comedy voice is all part of a lefty BBC plot-

What a cock.

I am only invited on air as a fringe member of a panel or as one side in a discussion

So he's in a huff cos he's not the host of BBC, and because he doesn't get to dictate what people with different views to him say?

Is there some sound-proof room we can send people like Peter Hitchens, Nigel Farage and George Galloway to?

Apparently 'A cat is quite old' is newsworthy for some reason...

Can...can we do that? I mean, it doesn't have to be space...maybe just a really long reality show set on a desert island somewhere and we don't broadcast it. Please? They'd be willing! Any TV time makes them go giddy. PLEASE!

Spot the difference!

I object mostly to them being publicity-hungry gasbags, but it's always a boost to my self-esteem to be told I'm indistinguishable from Peter Hitchens!

I don't believe Harridan is suggesting that the world of broadcasting should revolve around her, or that public figures who get paid to put forward opinions should be immune from having said opinions satirised, or that debate is useless unless it wholly reflects her views and only her views. But thanks for your friendly contribution to the conversation.

Edit:
That was a bit unnecessarily grumpy.
Points still stand, but sorry for the hypocrisy
