Best comedy theme tune? Page 3

My favourite tune is Going Straight.

Only Fools And Horses and Dad's Army.

Also The Libertines rock.

No one suggested The Cuckoo Waltz for Laurel and Hardy? Possibly THE most instantly recognised theme for comedy around the world and through the 20th century.

The Futurama theme is something I wish I'd written. I love those chiming bells.

I'm afraid it's Maid Marian And Her Merry Men for me too!

It must be on YouTube somewhere!

Did it actually have a title when it was just the theme to M*A*S*H?

It is performed in the film with lyrics. Actually I prefer that version, it's just so poignant.

Just hum along:

Through early morning fog I see,
Visions of the things to be,
The pains that are withheld for me,
I realize and I can see...

[REFRAIN]:

That suicide is painless.
It brings on many changes.
And I can take or leave it if I please.

Supposedly Marylin Manson covered it. I don't want to know.

Manic Street Peachers did it as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-g0aBYVCgE

Ah right, yes. A long, long time since I've seen any of the film. And yes, MM did do a cover. I think I've got it, but doubt highly that I've listened.
