There's bound to be some duplication, but I don't think Mark is that bothered

...so we'll do our own thing. I tend to go for leftfield Qs wherever possible anyway so chances of duplication are slim. And mine are going to take a while to complete so any similarities should be well spaced. Sorted.

If someone's compiling a lot of single subject specials can I ask we have an agreement of sorts as to who works on which subjects, to avoid the prospect of duplications? I also like a good specialist quiz and I can declare I've already submitted a Carry On 15 earmarked for August, and am working slowly and when time allows, on 15s of Benny Hill (for his 100th Birthday in Jan24); Rising Damp; Fawlty Towers. And would like, if time ever allows to attempt 15s on Ealing & Boulting Bros films; Musical Comedy; Porridge; SMDAE (but none of these are in the pipeline yet).

Discussions with anyone also contemplating specials on these subjects, negotiations on possible joint enterprises on said subjects or objections to any of said subjects welcome. (Agreements with Mark may also be needed to avoid an imbalance of Quiz subjects published).

The easiest would be if you contact us with the themes you'd like to write dedicated quizzes on and 'claim' them before beginning writing. We can then say 'no, we've already got that from someone else' if appropriate.

Dear Mark & Aaron, I officially claim 15s of ***CLASSIFIED INFORMATION***
Sorted. Jubbly. See you there.

With now 18 "regular" quizzes into Mark, it is/was inevitable that a number of my questions are on Fawlty Towers; Porridge and SMDAE, which are already in and accepted - I sincerely hope they won't be deleted because someone has "claimed" those three because of some planned themed quizzes in the future?!

I'll steer clear of Benny Hill, although for example, I have just realised off the top of my head, I sent one in weeks ago about Ernie the milkman.

I've noticed before that Alf likes to have duplicates of things. Fantasy League last season, Super 6 this season, Fawlty Towers quizzes... Must be the cautionary streak in him. Back everything up. :)

Alfred / Herc (and anyone else up for writing a Quiz)... let's not show our admin and workings out in public on this message board, it'll give people the chance to revise, ha ha. Can you email me theme ideas / submissions instead? (Also because I see emails quicker than forum posts). contact@comedy.co.uk

(But rest assured Herc, no already written questions are at risk)

Just did this week's set: I got 5/10 and 2/5. The ones I got right I knew pretty much for definite. Great picture for question 2 !!! ?

I loved the Q2 picture too! Though as there's no explanation with the answer I wonder how many people did not get that one and are none the wiser? 7/10 and 2/5 for me, at least half were guesses I reckon. I love seeing what long-forgotten corners of comedy everyone brings back in these quizzes.

13/15. I must be an genius.

4/10 + 3/5 Some of them I had absolutely no idea who/what, so a lot of guesses. I won't feel so guilty now with some of the more obscure ones I have set, AND I'll have to cancel my Little and Large question! GRRRRRR

AND I take technical issue with No. 13 Hugh Dennis' father - answer is not quite right. The man lived not 100 yards from me for awhile, in Ipswich.

If there's one thing I've learned from Derek Nimmo, it's that secrets smuggled across international borders are often recipes for soup.

But if there are two things I've learned from Derek Nimmo, the other is that one doesn't get to become a bishop without being a vicar first.

I deliberately didn't say it, but now.............................Spoiler Alert!! ?

It's okay for me, I knew the answer to that one. 5 & 3. I had a Nimmo Q in my last one, it wasn't the one I'd wanted to put in, but I couldn't find any sign or mention of that on the web. Did I dream a (very funny) visual of Derek Nimmo as Spock (Leonard Nimmoy) on some prog, possibly 80s. Was it Spitting Image? Couldn't find it anywhere.

7/10; 2/5
All the ones I got wrong were guesses.
Again.
Need to learn to guess better.

Back to mediocre for me this week. 4/10. Numbers 1, 3, 7 & 10.
