What gives it depth is that it's loosely based on a true story. The end credits tell us that 'in 2003 the Stockholm Art Swim Gents were formed as a protest against the meaninglessness of life. In 2009 they won the Men's World Championships'. So what the Swedes created as an anti-nihilistic art statement, we Brits turn into a middlebrow crowd-pleaser. Go figure.
