Lara Kilner, The Mirror, 15th May 2016Why do comedians make such good actors?
It is both a hard question to answer and an easy one. I think the best comedians are natural performers which would be suited for taking on a script. Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 15th May 2016Live Review: Alex Edelman, Soho Theatre, London
You've got to have an angle when you do a full length Edinburgh Fringe show. Well, it's maybe not compulsory but when putting together a string of stories it can help to stitch the narrative together and excite the judges. Chortle, 15th May 2016Dave Bailey: Beige Against The Machine review
Bailey is, he readily confesses, a beta male - out of place in nightclubs but declaring himself to have a personality, unlike those who think an interesting hat or peculiar facial hair is substitute enough for that. Yet whet it comes to his material, you'd be quite hard-pressed to find much personality in that, either.

Steve Bennett, Chortle, 15th May 2016Comedy review: Julian Clary
Celebrating 30 years in comedy, Julian Clary has settled into a cosy, anecdotal manner that's as laden with filth and innuendo as ever, but never close to shocking.
