Piece of shit....

My first PC ( from Tiny Computers ) had a 6Gb hard drive and cost over £1400 !

My first PC was an Amstrad 1512, no hard disk, two 5.25" floppy drives 512K ram.

My first personal computer had just 64K of RAM and two huge 8" floppy drives and ran CP/M. With its display terminal it cost around £4000 in 1980 so probably equibalent to £40,000 today's money. an incredible sum.. I cashed in my pension fund and used a sizeable portion of that to buy the computer.

Teary

I had an Amstrad CPC464 way back, but I never class that as a PC. Even though it is.

My mate had one of them

Nice machine

Used to play Who Dares Wins all the time

My laptop seems to be infested with annoying pop ups

any advice, I've got mcafee and I've run a full scan a couple of times.

I'm probably advertising my nubiness any advice.

Google ad blocker - I think they're free downloads.

thank you sir

You're welcome. :)

Just noticed that the task bar clock on my PC is an hour slow, which is not due until the 26th of this month - or have I slipped into a time frame?

You might have the wrong country selected or have lost the tick in "Automatic DST" or similar in the date & Time Control Panel.

Thank you - will check that.

Hi Sootyj, this will probably help

I'm running Windows XP and want to record what is coming through my sound card.

On my other PC I have Total Recorder which I bought but I'm unwilling to buy it again.

Any thoughts?

Download the free program Audacity.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/

It is a wonderful tool for Audio.

However being able to record the output of the Audio card may be dependent on particular hardware.

Thanks Bill.
