Matt and Meg race back to Kendal from their romantic break desperate to secure their perfect house. However, when a squabble over money leads to a time-consuming trip to A&E, they arrive at the property too late.

All is not lost, though, and, when estate agent Andrew asks where Matt got his injury, a quick-thinking Meg finds herself being less than truthful, prompting things to take a turn for the better.

House secured, Meg, Matt, Gail and Sam go to the pub to celebrate, but all eyes are on Iain and his new, younger girlfriend, Kate, prompting Meg to confide in Paula that she might be a bit jealous.

There's little time to dwell on it when Gail is injured in an accident while out on a driving lesson with hapless pupil Ryan. Luckily they're both fine - until, that is, Sam brings up the issue of compensation and, suddenly, Gail starts to feel a bit achy.
