Jack Docherty is one of the country's most innovative comedy talents, loved for his portrayal as Chief Miekelson in Scot Squad and his cult classic characters in Absolutely. But despite having a cult classic TV series and becoming a late-night host, launching a channel with none other than the Spice Girls, he nearly gave it all up.

Further details

In an interview for The Moments That Made..., the series that takes an in-depth look at the careers of top comedy talent, Jack Docherty reviews some of the quirkier turns of his career...

Including the fact that if it weren't for a chance lunch cancellation, Absolutely might never have made it to our screens.

As well as a chat with Jack, the programme also features many of his friends and colleagues including Absolutely stalwarts Moray Hunter, Gordon Kennedy and Pete Baikie.
