Charles wants to break up with his girlfriend, but can't bring himself to finish the relationship face to face - so instead he enlists Bex to do it for him. Meanwhile, Jan tries to get a pay rise by currying favour with Chris, but when her grovelling proves fruitless she resolves to get the money from her boss by fair means or foul.
