After being kicked out of their apartment, Costello and Iris try to find housing before nightfall. Selby is back after a stint in prison and keen to connect with the pair. Costello and Selby don't know if they can trust each other, but as their search for a place to stay grows more desperate, they both stop at nothing to keep Iris safe.

Facing eviction from their flat, Costello makes a promise to her daughter Iris that they will have a safe place to stay by nightfall. Selby is back in the free world after a stint in prison and keen to reconnect with Iris and Costello. Selby and Costello don't know if they can trust one another again, but as Costello and Iris's search for a place to stay grows more desperate, both Costello and Selby will stop at nothing to keep Iris safe in the crooked city.
