There's Something About Movies is returning for a third series, British Comedy Guide can reveal.

Pre-production is already under way for the latest outing of Sky One's panel show about films.

Michael Sheen has disclosed that he will return as a team captain, and Alan Carr is expected to reprise his hosting role.

Series 2 saw Jennifer Saunders take over fellow team captain duties from Micky Flanagan, and the arrival of regular guest Tom Allen. It is not yet known if they will be back for Series 3.

Programme makers CPL Productions are also preparing to film a fifteenth series of A League Of Their Own for the broadcaster, with plans for another European Road Trip spin-off series and Christmas special of the sport-based panel show in the works.

Series 15 of A League Of Their Own is due to begin on Sky One this August. Filming had been expected to take place early this summer, but is understood to have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, it would appear challenges are to be presented from outside the studio. Sky confirms: "A host of celebrity guests are coming back for another series of trivia, chat and some socially distanced challenges."

Regulars Jamie Redknapp and Freddie Flintoff are confirmed as returning, but it is currently unclear if Romesh Ranganathan and former host James Corden will take part in the new series.

There's Something About Movies' second series debuted in October 2019, attracting 407,000 viewers for the first episode. However, this had fallen to less than 265,000 viewers by the end of its six-episode run.

Carr is currently presenting Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow on ITV, a multi-format revival of classic game show formats Play Your Cards Right, Bullseye, The Price Is Right and Strike It Lucky. The series has proved a ratings hit for the channel, attracting almost five million viewers each week.
