The voting form is now online for the King or Queen of Comedy category for The British Comedy Awards 2014.

The nominees this year are Jo Brand, Greg Davies, Lee Mack, David Mitchell, Graham Norton and Jack Whitehall.

Whitehall has won the vote for the last two years. This year he is up against Would I Lie To You? team captains Mack and Mitchell, talkshow host Norton, Man Down and Cuckoo star Davies, and stand-up and panel show regular Brand.

The list was chosen by the BCA jury. The King or Queen category is the only prize at the annual awards where the public chooses the winner.

This year, rather than a phone voting system, viewers are encouraged to vote online for the category, for free via the Channel 4 website. Voting closes on the night of the awards, with the winner announced as part of the show.

The ceremony, presented by Jonathan Ross, will take place on Tuesday 16th December and be broadcast on Channel 4 on Wednesday 17th December.

The nominees for the other categories have already been announced, with Matt Berry leading the list. Full nominees list
