Jon does a daytime quiz show with Kemah Bob and upsets Alexander Armstrong, and Lucy shows journalist Mark Lawson her typically perfect day for a newspaper feature.

Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont find very different ways to take their careers to the next level. Jon has decided to sell out and cash in by getting into hosting daytime quiz shows as a route to an early retirement. Jon teams up with comedian Kemah Bob to trial a range of daytime TV formats but they struggle to find a show that neither of them hates. And word of Jon's venture into daytime telly has got out, and Alexander Armstrong is not happy.

Lucy grabs the chance to leverage her increasing celebrity status by doing a Day in the Life feature with top culture journalist, Mark Lawson. But she is under strict instructions from agent Suzanne not to let Mark see the real life of Lucy Beaumont.
