Jim Davidson reprises his role as Jim London, a cheeky 'Jack the Lad' from South London, who was first seen in Up The Elephant And Round The Castle, from which this is a spin-off.

Fired from his job as delivery driver at an electronics firm, Jim is hired as personal chauffeur and friendly 'dogsbody' by the company's self-made millionaire chief executive, Robert Palmer. Unfortunately for Jim, Palmer's butler, Henry Compton, takes as much of an instant dislike to him as did his immediate superior at the electronics company - that prior friction having been the eventual cause of his firing.
