Taskmaster Series 19 launches on Thursday 1st May

Series 19 of Taskmaster launches on Channel 4 on Thursday 1st May at 9pm.
As was previously mentioned by the producers: "Competing in the fiercest and most absurd show on television and preparing to tackle perplexing and extraordinary challenges in the name of critically-acclaimed entertainment are: comedian and writer Fatiha El-Ghorri (Live At The Apollo); American comedian, actor and podcaster Jason Mantzoukas (Big Mouth, Brooklyn Nine-Nine); actor and writer Mathew Baynton (Ghosts); podcaster and broadcaster Rosie Ramsey (Sh**ged. Married. Annoyed); and comedian, actor and podcaster Stevie Martin (Starstruck).
Speaking further about the ten-part series, the producers say: "Little Alex Horne has sculpted another version of Taskmaster Greg Davies' regal head from pure gold in readiness for a brand-new series. That head is the most coveted prize in television - outside of the prizes in television that offer actual cash - so the new cohort of comics who are attempting to impress Greg by completing his bafflingly pointless tasks are all pretty desperate to claim it for themselves.
"The five stout-hearted souls who have willingly put their reputations on the line in search of glory are Fatiha El-Ghorri, Jason Mantzoukas, Mathew Baynton, Rosie Ramsey and Stevie Martin. All of them will approach the series with hope in their hearts, but after searching for cheese phones, dressing mannequins in wetsuits and striking powerful poses, four of them will exit broken and beaten, while only one will dance away pretending to be humble in the face of their truly incredible victory (while probably still feeling quite broken and beaten)."
