A look back at the life and works of a British comedy great - Eric Sykes. Starting his career by writing and working alongside some of the greats of the time - including Spike Milligan, Tony Hancock, and Tommy Cooper - Sykes soon became a star in his own right with a string of successful BBC comedy series alongside Hattie Jacques.

Sykes's comedy career would span five decades before his death in 2012, and he would even be immortalised on children's television by announcing the Teletubbies both in the introduction of the programme, and on the number one hit single that followed.
