Black Books trivia

Manny's surname, "Bianco", is Italian for "white". His name is meant to reflect the fact that he is the opposite of Bernard Black.

Fran's surname, "Katzenjammer", is a German word meaning "drunk", which literary translates as, "the wailing/distress of cats".

The address of Black Books is:

Black Books
13 Little Bevan Street
Bloomsbury
London WC1

Contrary to claims on other websites, Black Books was not a Big Talk production. All series were made by Assembly Film And Television, a division of Chrysalis, with the third and final series produced 'in association with' Big Talk. Big Talk Productions' founder, Nira Park, acted as a producer on all three series.
