Episode 1 is the (probably) surprising subject of 17th Century English history which Ashley studied at both Oxford and Cambridge where he sought to become the first Jewish expert in 17th century church history.

It's the Grand Final, and each contestant has chosen to celebrate in their own unique way: Rosie Ramsey puts a wooden box on her head, Fatiha El-Ghorri kicks in a door, Mathew Baynton threatens a puppy, and the team known as J. V. Martzoukas (aka Jason Mantzoukas and Stevie Martin) establish a thriving local business. At the end of it all, Greg Davies will crown one of them the Taskmaster champion, and Little Alex Horne will watch on, knowing that his job is done for another series.

The gang's dealings finally catch up with them as Ewen realises that his mum is missing and he's being watched - he needs to leave town as soon as possible. Billie's daddy issues take a new turn as she decides that she might not be getting the princess treatment after all.
