Comedian and writer Holly Walsh has been announced as the curator assisting John Lloyd for the 16th series of The Museum Of Curiosity.

The Radio 4 format, which sees guests presenting interesting objects and ideas to the panel, is due to return to the air in October.

Radio 4 confirms: "Holly and John will preside over a fresh haul of exhibits submitted from an array of guests including comedians Daliso Chaponda, Evelyn Mok, Catherine Bohart, Rosie Jones and Griff Rhys Jones, poet Lemn Sissay, author Elizabeth Day, firefighter Sabrina Cohen-Hatton, and Bruce Dickinson - lead singer of the legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden."

Holly Walsh says: "I'm overjoyed to be the curator of Museum Of Curiosity - mainly because 80% of my anecdotes during lockdown have come from 'things I picked up from having Radio 4 on in the kitchen', so it's nice to finally give back."

The Museum Of Curiosity appoints a new curator for each series. Previous recent curators have included Alice Levine, Bridget Christie, Lee Mack, Sally Phillips and Romesh Ranganathan.

Programme co-creator John Lloyd comments: "Absolutely delighted that our new curator is the brilliant Holly Walsh. Not only is she one of the funniest comedians around, but her first name, Holly, is very nearly an anagram of my last name, Lloyd, and her last name, Walsh, is also uncannily close to mine, because it's Welsh. Clearly, the stars are aligned..."

The six-part series - which is set to include the 100th episode of the show - will begin on Radio 4 on Monday 18th October at 6:30pm.
