Why you should blog

It's the twenty-first century... but publishing a blog is still a brilliant thing for a comedy writer to do. Here's why...

The general direction of online content creation long ago shifted to the quickfire short-form formats offered by social media. By comparison, blogging might seem a bit old-fashioned today or a bit "Web 1.0".

Some people see blogs as TLDR (too long, didn't read), but huge numbers of people read full-length books on their computer screens and handheld devices today, so maybe it's time for a blogging renaissance.

Besides, you don't have to go with the trend if you don't want to. Remember that the best comedians have always been outliers and that if you build it, they will read it.

The truth is that there are many great reasons for a comedy professional to have a blog. Here are some of them.
