A great story is essential to a great script. But, just as there are lots of different ways to make a sitcom, there are lots of different ways to tell a story in a sitcom.

Perhaps you have studied creative writing or scriptwriting at college or university level, in which case you will have an academic idea of the different structural tricks television writers can employ.
