Paul Whitehouse to star in children's sketch show Collide-Oscope

Paul Whitehouse is to voice Collide-Oscope, a TV series for children aged 6 plus which mixes animation, collage-art and live action.
Deadline reports that production company Wildseed Studios are working on 30 seven-minute episodes of Collide-Oscope.
Whitehouse, who has recently been cast in the new Harry Potter series, hasn't appeared in a broadcast sketch show since 2022 special The Lovebox In Your Living Room. However, last year he did present Paul Whitehouse's Sketch Show Years (pictured), a four-part Gold series celebrating TV sketches.
He has recently been starring in the Only Fools And Horses The Musical stage show, Channel 4 comedy The Change and Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. An Evening With The Fast Show is due to return to stages in November for another tour leg.
Deadline notes in relation to Collide-Oscope: "It will touch on a range of zany topics, with examples given of what to expect including argumentative fruit in a bowl; an accident prone rookie TV reporter; Mr Boast, 'the oh so modest internet celebrity'; and Posh Pom, the aristocratic pet Pomeranian dog."
Wildseed Studios have also announced plans to reboot 1960s children's programme The Magic Roundabout. Currently at the financing stage, the project - consisting of 52 seven-minute episodes - would be lead by Horrible Histories and Danger Mouse writer Ben Ward.
