Where Laughter and Literature Meet.

Write On Comedy is an association of writers on comedy, and comedians who write, and will launch with a Book Festival Party at the celebrated Museum of Comedy, in Bloomsbury, London, from mid-day on Saturday 11th June 2022.

Members of the fraternity in attendance will include:

Lady Anne Dodd who will be signing copies of The Squire of Knotty Ash and His Lady: An Intimate Biography of Sir Ken Dodd.

A group of situation comedy favourites will be in attendance, including Please Sir!'s David Barry who has recently resurrected his fantasist school boy character Frankie Abbott.

Linda Regan, beloved as Hi-De-Hi! Yellow Coat April, will be signing a selection of her best-selling crime thrillers, the latest of which is entitled The Burning Question.

Robert Gillespie, who guest starred in such shows as Dad's Army and The Good Life, before starring in Keep It In The Family, will be promoting his two volumes of memoirs.

Actress and illustratorJessica Martin will be on hand to talk about her autobiographical graphic novel Life Drawing: A Life Under Lights.

The ever-popular Carry On films are celebrated with Caroline Frost's book, Carry On Regardless: Getting to the Bottom of Britain's Favourite Comedy Films, while series star Kenneth Williams is chronicled in two publications by Adam Endacott.

Comedy biographers Andy Merriman, Tony Nicholson and Robert Ross will also be on hand to remember such comedy legends as Hattie Jacques, Larry Grayson and Marty Feldman.

The very special guest for the day will be Chris Tarrant OBE signing It's Not A Proper Job: Stories from 50 Years in TV.
