Galton & Simpson archive funding drive enters final push

The University of York has launched a fundraising campaign to secure the archive of comedy writers Ray Galton and Alan Simpson. The university needs to raise £30,000 to ensure that some of the archive's greatest gems, including The Blood Donor sketch script, aren't split up and sold into private hands.

Humphrey Ker and David Reed are to play Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson in Sherlock Holmes and The Twelve Days of Christmas, the festive comedy musical the pair have created with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, with their co-stars including John Kearns and Margaret Cabourn-Smith.
Anna Thomas writes and stars in BBC radio sitcom Gulls

Anna Thomas has landed her debut radio sitcom, with the winner of the 2021 BBC New Comedy Award writing and starring in Gulls, a 30-minute talent taster for BBC Radio Wales, about best friends Bonnie and Llinos who have been each other's corner of sanity while growing up in the small seaside town of Burry Port.
