Alfie Brown

The always challenging, always intelligent Alfie Brown's latest show promises footnotes, an interlude and a post-mortem. Don't worry though as this tour-de-force is his loosest, most self interrogative hour yet.

Does emotion help us make moral judgments? Alfie will address this question using jokes. There is a joke about Formula1 that isn't actually about Formula1. There is a joke about shopping that's not really about shopping. There is a joke about parking tickets, and so on. These jokes will weave together to create something greater than the sum of their parts. You can disagree, but you must laugh. This is Alfie's most accomplished show yet and is now an Amazon Prime Special. 'Motoring towards a masterpiece' **** (Evening Standard). **** (Telegraph). **** (Guardian).

Alfie Brown interview

As a singularly talented and thought-provoking comic, Alfie Brown could quite easily have bordered on the arrogant. As he returns to the Edinburgh Fringe, we find a stand-up all too aware of his past failings.
