Pum (n): West Indian for a woman's private parts. Pomme (sounds like...) features a dizzying cast of characters from diverse locales like Jamaica, London, Toronto, and the too tight crotch of the pants. This charming duo takes a fresh, irreverent look at womanhood in all its glory: its perils, its pleasures and all kinda madness in between. 'Belongs to that bracing wave of candid, liberating and gleefully gross female humour unleashed by the likes of 30 Rock, Girls and Bridesmaids' (Globe and Mail). 'Hilarious and fearless' **** (NOW, Canada). Best of Toronto Fringe 2012.

A rapid-fire series of vignettes and original music, pomme is french for apple features a dizzying cast of characters from Guyana, London, Toronto, Jamaica, and the too-tight crotch of the pants.

The show features a cavalcade of sketches and songs, embracing an unconventional narrative form. Distinctly West Indian in flavour, the dialogue features a wealth of island patois. The language, settings and scenarios offer a taste of a new world for some audience members, while some will feel right at home with the characters on stage. Whether the stories feel familiar or brand-new, everyone can relate to pomme.

pomme is french for apple offers a fresh perspective on female parts - often from the perspective of the parts in question. Original, witty, and loaded with universal truths, pomme is a fresh concept and loads of fun for everyone.
