Ashington's very own cheeky-boy, Kai Humphries, returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with his new show Stuff Protocol.

As far back as he can recall, Kai has always questioned the rules we live by. Having grown up on a North East of England council estate, he has been rebellious and mischievous all his life. He's the kind of guy who doesn't have a bad bone in his body, sees the good in people yet who without trying still manages to get himself into hilarious situations you just couldn't make up - but he just has very strong feelings about being told what to do and when to do it. Stuff Protocol explores the role Kai's subconscious plays in his life, with hilariously vivid stories of how both sticking to the rules as well as breaking the rules have gotten him into trouble. All this anticonditioning is called to the test however when faced with a genuine life or death situation. Will his instincts follow the protocol of his lifeguard training or will he impulsively do things his own way?!

Having featured on both series of Comedy Central's The Comedy Store, high-octane Geordie comic Kai's star is rapidly rising. Since being a finalist in 2009's So You Think You're Funny? competition, he has performed 3 solo seasons at the Edinburgh fringe and toured extensively around the UK with Daniel Sloss as well as performing in the country's biggest comedy clubs. He has gigged in Europe and India as well as in Australia at the Melbourne and Sydney International Comedy Festivals, in Brisbane and at the Adelaide Festival Fringe. Kai is also a regular on the Set List "comedy-without-a-net" show, having guested in Edinburgh, at Altitude Festival in Mayrhofen Austria and in Melbourne.
