I know it's not a comedy but anyone know where I can get a copy of The Lady Vanishes? The 1979 version with Cybill Shepherd?

We have very different ideas of what constitutes a bargain, Tom.

Do you know where to get it cheaper or are you just not an Alan Partridge fan?

Amazon Marketplace is the cheapest place to get it at the moment - but that's still not a bargain, by any stretch of the mind. Knock another £10-15 off the price and you'll be getting nearer.

Is there anything in it that hasn't been released individually? If not, I expect you could buy the single releases - or other box sets - for cheaper.

The collection is not just partridge though it includes:

Knowing Me, Knowing You
Knowing Me, Knowing Yule
I'm Alan Partridge Series 1 & 2
Saxondale Series 1 & 2
Dr Terrible's House of Horrible
Coogan's Run
Paul and Pauline Calf's Cheese And Ham Sandwich
Paul and Pauline Calf's Video Diaries
Introducing Tony Ferrino: Who and Why? A Quest
The Tony Ferrino Phenomenon

14 discs for £35. Thats good value in my book.

Saying that I'm only really a Partridge fan and have got those already so don't think I'll be getting it!

Just thought I'd highlight it.

Yes, I know what's in it and £40 is about what I'd expect to pay for that box set as standard 'full' online price. Like I said, if they knocked another £15 or so off the price, it'd be in bargain territory - the present is just its worth.
