They don't tell you if you've made it or not. But if it is you and it's you're first credit they'll be in touch soon to ask for your address

News Revue are great but their admin can, um, have it's peaks and troughs. No harm in being proactive and getting in touch with them yourself with your address.

Then sit back and wait for the (small) check to roll in.

New to submitting to NR (started in the summer) so just wondering are we to submit each week or wait for requests? so far I've been waiting until they send out requests but wonder if this is the right way?

each week, sunday or monday morning is best. they send requests for stories they're missing but want to cover

Blahblah is right - send anything you like, but requests are useful because then you know they are looking for something on that, rather than already have four things on that topic in the show.

I'd also agree that early in the week is optimal. But if it's funny and short they may use something sent later on in the week.

Basically:
* To maximise your chances, listen to requests and send early in the week e.g. Monday.
* But you can send any topical stuff any time and if they like it enough they'll use it.

Really? Have they sent out the edinburgh running order yet?
I got a cheque last week or so with August run printed on back so may have been from fringe but no idea if I had any material used on it

Oh I never look at the slips I just bin them on the way to the bank. Doh!

Well that's everything from last run plus shows 1 & 2 from current run received (by me at any rate), so just the last couple of weeks awaited now, which is quite normal!

Someone please help my poor frazzled mind...
Is this week 4,5,6 of first run I previously referred to, or the next one I also previously referred to?

So are we missing 5&6 of one run, or 4,5,6 of next run?

And where are we up to? Have we had weeks in between these runs and the recent ones they've sent out that haven't been shown?

My tiny obsessive-compulsive brain can't take this stress!

EDIT: That doesn't even make sense! I think I might have to stop writing for Newsrevue, there's only so much chaos a gal can take.

EDITYEDIT: It doesn't count as bumping if there isn't anything else on the active threads board

If I've understood it correctly the weeks 4,5,6 just sent out were for the previous director's and casts run.

The weeks 1 & 2 sent out before that were for the current run and hence come after the weeks 4,5, 6 just sent out. They have got things a little muddled up probably explained by the fact they're changing the person responsible for admin once again!

And I think we should be just about to start on a new run but haven't heard anything yet about a new director.

Mikey completed details of run 102. We've had weeks 1 and 2 of run 103. We are still missing weeks 3, 5 and 6 of run 101 but I didn't have anything in that so I'm not that fussed (unless they credited me with someone else's work, which can happen).
