The four Yorkshireman sketch worked really well at Treason, as did the Milliband brothers. And I think the Cameron monologue is by Phill Barron, he writes most of them, who's now doing pretty well with the BBC. Theatre very rarely translates to the screen, which is why the Treason show extracts on the website look so poor. There's simply no substitute for going there and seeing it live. If you want to write for it, it's a huge help. It's a different art-form to t.v. which most people automatically tend to write for nowadays. And if you've got something in, going on a Saturday night with a full house of 300+ people, is a great experience for a budding writer.

I get the running order by email every week because I actually had one thing performed for 3 weeks back last year. And they also write each week asking for certain topics.

I sent a couple of "society" sketches to them at the weekend.

Thing is, there's no news at the moment to take the piss out of.

All there is is olympics and Georgia.

And they're not news!

I've got a great idea for an olympic type sketch that can only be completed AFTER the olympics.

Not revealing too much, but it will be more geared to a GB winner of a para-olympic sport, after the said winner arrives home.

Won't be taking piss out of the disabled chap though.... it will be a "UK System" joke.
