only 55 people out of 100 can read this

scientists say on 55 out of 100 can read this. Everyone I know can, but then I only know 2 people!! Teary Strange, though, isn't it? And you thought your spelling was bad!

Very interesting little phenomenon (is that the word I'm looking for?), isn't it? I did some testing amongst other friends and people I knew at school a couple of years back. HIGHLY amusing! :D

I didn't used to be able to read it but since Jamie Jones joined the site I can read it fluently ;)

LOL

Ha.
I've never known anyone that can't understand it either.
I think that statistic is wrong!
Unless the other 45 people can't read normal writing either.
Or are blind.

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer
in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is
taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a
toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae
we do not raed ervey lteter by itslef but the wrod as a wlohe.

(variation on the same theme).

I'm one of the 45 who can't I'm afraid. It's like looking at my worse reading nightmare. I'm dyslexic so as far as that was concerned, it just freaked me out for a couple of seconds before I realised it was meant to be a mess. Grabbing my flatmate and asking him to read it, he has just explained what it was and how it works but one of my problems is sometimes everything merges together anyway so as far as my brain is concerned, it doesn't matter about the first and last letter because it's sometimes hard for me to take that information into my mind in the first place. Does that make sense? No? Well ya boo sucks.

;)

Yer it must be a nightmare for people with dyslexia. :( And yes it does make sense hun! mwah x

Yes, I can imagine it definitely doesn't work for people with dyslexia.

Do you remember the old days, when people used to think they had to make kids with dyslexia feel better about it, they used to say: Don't worry, Tom Cruise has dyslexia!

How times change. :(

Laughing out loud

Yes, I remember that!
