That is interesting stuff JohnnyD. You probably know this already but a quick Google search this morning revealed that one member died in the same plane crash as Jim Croce. Two others became Jehovah's Witnesses. The album had been released by Smash in 1968 immediately before "The Left Banke Too".

Ha! I have that one on CD...unlike The Troll, which I have have never heard of before. The riff at the beginning of the Troll song reminded a bit of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida which isn't very surprising. The Iron Butterfly song was maybe the defining song of the genre and era...like in the 80s many artists tried to sound like Jacko or Prince. Anyway, I liked The Troll song and it is another sample of your mysterious well of obscure 60/70s records.
