Re the John Cleese interview, oh well I'm sure even you make mistakes Aaron, as we all do but I what really meant was his attention to the creation process for FT. When I watch the untouchably brilliant 2nd series of FT, I am reminded just why it took him (and Booth) nearly 4 years to finish, the little minor things and references that took me several viewings to fully appreciate still fill me with awe today. With what they managed to cram into one of those episodes you could fill a whole series of a mediocre standard sitcom. That is craftsmanship, and yes I do see a parrallel in the excellent Office. Even if they don't tickle everyone's fb I am sure most people can still sit back and admire the work.
