Has anyone else heard this rumour about Rooney that the papers are going to publish after the World Cup?

No, do tell. Oh please, do tell !

Yes, do.

Did you see the pictures (in The Sun) of the squad smoking cigars and drinking beer hours after the German game? I don't begrudge them a beer (as long as they're not partying), but cigars? They're supposed to be top athletes who look after their bodies.

They need to relax.

They're tired.

Oh, according to something I read today, Guardian site I think, Thomas Muller has played 52 games this season. He must be tired.

Well I don't know if I should. It could be considered slanderous or libelous.

:D

They also compared a few players on minutes and games played last season.

Tevez played more than Rooney, and he's doing ok. And Kuyt played more than Gerrard, also doing fine.

I found the quote . .

By the way, 52 games Thomas? Shouldn't you be as exhausted as the English lads? How come you covered 8,296 metres in the course of the Ghana game then? And just short of that in each game since? What's the matter with you? You play in a league with a smattering of foreign talent but one which draws excellent crowds and depends on local players. You play for a club which turns a profit, owns 80 per cent of it's shares (Adidas and Audi own about 10 per cent each ) and which is run by football men like Uli Hoeness and Karl Heinz Rummenigge. And this World Cup is becoming your stage. http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/sport/2010/0629/1224273557820.html

No, no.

It's alright if you start 'Well . . ' then look left and right, then lean forward and continue 'I heard .... '

It's enshrined in Case Law, I'm sure it is.

Is that what you're referring to Chappers?

That is the very story.

If it's true maybe they shouldn't have waited - because Rooney played like he had a monkey on his back!!!

Maybe that explains why he shaved his chest, to impress the prostitute! :S

Hope he washed it afterwards ! (if indeed anything did happen)

Yes, it's one hell of a risk to take, if true.

Ghana are giving it a go.

Last minute penalty! OMG

Missed!

Now it's more penalties.

All scored so far.
Come on Ghana!

Oops!

:D yes come on Ghana

At least when he missed the last minute penalty that could have sealed victory it reminded me of John Terry in the Champions league final and I had a chuckle.

Ghana's second-to-last penalty was probably the worst I've ever seen.
