Best comedy not in English Page 2

Just watching the opening ep again. I love this show. And sorry to do this Aaron but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax8OuPrYmyk

I'm trying to work out if the box set might have subtitles - doesn't look hopeful. Really wish I'd been allowed to learn German at school. :(

I did!
I learned the word for castle.
And I can count to 12.

Ah, now you link to that, I seem to recall that Finck did episodes 2 and 3 after that person stopped after doing E1.

This person has done the 2nd ep: http://www.youtube.com/user/Turkish4Beginners

I'll just go back to cursing my school days now...

Mr Bean, whilst being quintessentially English, you don't need to understand English to enjoy it. I remember being on a flight from the Far East and hearing all the passengers cracking up laughing at a Mr Bean on the inflight entertainment, they loved it.

The Gamarjobats, Japanese mimes, are very funny, loved them on Comedy Rocks.

Mime is great that way, no language barriers, and little room for ambiguity.

Their pilot was very good.

Meanwhile, my brother's almost fluent. Bloody school system. Unimpressed

I will look out for it, but sadly Mr Bean makes my skin crawl!

Monsieur Hulot's Holiday is on YouTube

I have fond memories of an 80s Dutch comedy film called Flodder. Long time no see as I can't find it on DVD in Australia.

Yeah, that was tops. Very fresh.

Are people quite partial to foreign language comedy then?

I've been tempted to subtitle some of the better Estonian comedy shows (especially individual sketches) to put on YouTube but wasn't sure if there would be any interest.

Of course, there is the great French film comedian Max Linder. Although all his films were silent. So that doesn't really count.

Depends how funny it is! ;)
