Hello I'm Dave Cohen. I've been a writer and performer for too bloody long. I began on the London Cabaret circuit in the early 80s, founded the Comedy Store Players and was an original Cutting Edge member, went to Edinburgh a lot, got a Perrier nomination in the 80s, gradually moved into writing in the 90s. Credits include Have I Got News For You, Spitting Image, My Family, Not Going Out and Horrible Histories, which I write most of the songs for - TV and movie.
I began teaching comedy writing in 2006 and have written two books How To Be Averagely Successful At Comedy (available free here http://davecohen.org.uk/signup ) and The Complete Comedy Writer (available not free on Amazon)
